SANA, the international exhibition of organic and natural products, is the leading exhibition in Italy in the field of organic and natural products.

A national and international showcase for the Italian production, SANA is the ideal marketplace for professionals, who can find fertile ground for networking, discover market news and participate in in-depth meetings on the main themes and trends of the sector.

This is an exciting year to visit or exhibit in this show, and it is a 30th-year-anniversary fo the trade show.

The salon is organized in three sectors:

– Organic Food, presenting an extensive offering of natural produce;
– Natural and Organic Personal Care, including health, nutrition, and personal care products
-Green Lifestyle, a sector dedicated to the eco-household and natural leisure with sustainable and green products

30THE EDITION, NEW EXHIBITION LAYOUT FOR THE THREE SECTORS OF SANA

The innovation for this edition concerns, first of all, the layout o the event, which will occupy 7 pavilions, to welcome an the
increasing number of exhibitors to the trade fair that is a touchstone for a sector experiencing constant growth.
The pavilions, all located on the ground floor, are accessible from two entrances that are open to the public: West Constitution and North Entrance, adjacent to the multi-story car park.

Pavilions 21, 22, 31 and 32 are dedicated to Organic Food and the presentation of fresh and packaged foods, dairy products, including cheeses and ice creams, foodstuffs including meat and fish, oils, pasta, rice, cereals, cakes and desserts as well as baked products, dietetic foods, honey and conserves, wines, drinks and much, much more as part of the Italian and International range of organic products to meet the demand of a sector that is becoming increasingly strategic for the Italian economy, which is already the leader in Europe for organic food production.

In pavilions 25 and 26 – to the sector of Natural and Organic Body Care which will offer the best of what is on offer regarding natural and organic cosmetics, beauty and body care products, dietary supplements, and natural and organic products and services for personal care.

The Pavilion 19 is the Green Lifestyle area divided into seven sub-sectors offering to those who lead (or who would like to lead) a healthy and ecological lifestyle, the very best of what this market has to offer. The section Home&Office is dedicated to eco-friendly solutions for the home and the workplace; Mom&Kids is for products for child rearing, play, care and clothing for children and mums, for pregnancy and the first months of life, made with ecological, green ingredients and materials; Mobility is centred on new hybrid and electric vehicles and other innovations concerning sustainable mobility; Clothing&Textiles about clothes, shoes, and accessories that are the latest trends in sustainable fashion; Pet&Garden is reserved for natural and eco-compatible products and services for food and care for animals, gardens, plants, terraces and private swimming pools; Hobby&Sport for green sports and pastimes; Travel&Wellness for eco-friendly travel, leisure, and treatments for psychophysical wellbeing.

SANA 2018 will see the return of the VeganFest, the key event in Italy for the vegan universe, which will be hosted in Hall 19.

A rich program for visitors, who will be able to take part in cooking workshops, attend video screenings and participate in meetings and conferences that will feature leading figures in culture and entertainment who have decided to embrace a vegan lifestyle.

VeganFest is an event organized by VeganOK, the Italian certification of vegan products, and enjoys the patronage of the Vegani Italiani Onlus Association.

The 29th edition of SANA has recorded a new and net positive result confirming itself as a key reference point in the organic world for companies, operators, institutions, associations, buyers and a consumer audience, informed and motivated, which grows from year to year.

The six SANA 2017 pavilions, with the three product sectors – Organic Food, Natural and Organic Body Care and Green Lifestyle – presented the best of national and international organic and natural products to thousands of visitors.

SANA 2017 has further consolidated its role as a showcase and platform for discussion and analysis with the protagonists of the organic and natural sector, institutional and private, from the Government to the Regions, from European bodies to associations and federations of category and representation, to companies and production and distribution companies and certification bodies. The presence of large-scale retailers was also strengthened, dedicating more and more space to the various organic and natural product lines.

SMART SALES RECOMMENDATIONS:

We recommend this trade show, but we have some considerations:

International Exhibitor

1- Italian Market is protectionist and difficult access;
2-All your products and information must be in the Italian language;
3- The design of your stand must respect the Italian design trends;
4- In Rome be Romane.
5- All documentation must be in Italian;
6- Analyzed you price structure according to the Italian market rules, be prepared, every price you present will be hight and margin lower, be ready to discuss, make a study of your competitors.
7- Analyzed the differences and value of your products and the attributes to your competitors, you must have value if you want to enter the market.
8- In the first year don’t establish big goals. Usually, you don’t convert leads.
9- You need to have the correct dates, visit stores and supermarkets, understand the market.
10- Remember many distributors are regional, don’t give exclusivity before having results, protect your presence in the market.

B) International Buyer

1- The Italian organic market is mature
2- You will see a great diversity of products, analyzed if you are buying from the producer, you have many distributors companies.
3-Your price list must be CIF. You have different logistics prices for each region.
4- Compare your export prices to local distributors and stores.
5- Italian’s export companies have lots of experience, don’t be one more buyer be a partner.
